Fort St. Catherine, Bermuda

Visit one of Bermuda's oldest Forts — built in 1614 — overlooking the beach where Bermuda's first settlers came ashore.

One of the most impressive forts in the island, Fort St. Catherine has many historic exhibits, artifacts, and a well preserved interior.

Learn about the island's colorful history and see replicas of the British Crown Jewels, guarded by a wax-figured Beefeater. The Fort also houses an interesting Guns and Weapons Collection.

Surrounded by a dry moat and accessed by a drawbridge, the fort has a large number of tunnels, towers, redoubts and ramparts.

Fort St. Catherine is located at the East end of the island, near the historic town of St. George's.
